Unfortunately with one of the releases a couple of years ago, the MIDI Clock Sync seemed to quit working properly. I could not agree more! Since Sonar (aka Cakewalk) became available almost 2 decades ago it has been my goto DAW. The current devs seem to be listening to the community. Plus, Cakewalk has very frequent quality of life updates. It was well worth the money then and it's crazy that it's free now. I've bought the upgrade every year since version 2 XL up to and including Sonar Platinum until it went free as Cakewalk by BandLab. I love trying and finding new and better software and I've yet to find anything that works better for me than Cakewalk. I've been using Cakewalk Sonar since 2004 and I've been experimenting with other DAWs for a very long time. I do some work in a studio that only uses Pro Tools and I find it feels backwards and unintuitive but I know enough to call my self Pro Tools proficient. I colab with a few other people so I often work with other DAWs. I feel like I don't have to fight with it to make it do what I want. I have Presonus Studio One 4, Ableton Live, Pro Tools 11, Reaper, Logic Pro X, LUNA, Ive tried Cubase but I down't own it, and Cakewalk.Ĭakewalk is the only DAW that doesn't annoy me.
